Youth Education: Hitting the Fundamentals



The Actuarial Foundation inspires a new generation of “math skilled thinkers” by delivering educational opportunities tailored to students and educators. The Foundation supports mathematic achievement among students in grades 3-12 through an array of educational initiatives.

Youth programs include an award-winning financial literacy curriculum, free math enhancement materials, actuarial math projects for high school students and opportunities for actuaries to work with students in the classroom.

Actuaries and actuarial candidates representing The Actuarial Foundation provided their expertise to a section in the MATHCOUNTS 2010-2011 School Handbook which helps students grades 6-8 put math skills they learn into statistical practice using real-world examples. More>
